The Eleven One is a quiet corner of the internet for people who want to think deeply, live gently, and hold faith with both honesty and curiosity. At the start of this year, I began a simple practice: carrying a meditation through the week and offering the reflection on Sunday evening.

The first reflection post was published on 11/1.  A coincidence that now feels like a quiet confirmation to continue this rhythm of weekly contemplation.

As the site grows, these meditations will gradually take shape within three long‑term pillars. They’re not a rigid schedule but a framework for where this space is heading.

  • Where belief meets the world. This pillar explores how faith speaks into the texture of modern life, our habits, our relationships, our work, and our culture. These pieces look outward, tracing the conversation between ancient truth and contemporary experience. They’re reflective, grounded, and attentive to the world we’re actually living in.
  • Where scripture, history, and theology are studied with care. These deep dives slow down and pay attention. They trace patterns in the biblical text, follow word roots, explore historical context, and ask thoughtful questions. They’re for readers who enjoy depth, not to win arguments, but to understand, to notice, and to grow.
  • Where the personal and the spiritual meet. These entries are quieter and more intimate. They hold the small stories, the private wrestlings, the gentle moments of clarity or confusion that shape a life of faith. They’re written with honesty, softness, and a desire to name what is often left unspoken.
